PulseTrek
Rough runtimes by load, so you can see where each model fits before asking for a quote.
Examples
Illustrative figures at 80% usable energy. Real runtime depends on the actual load profile.
| Load | Average draw | Approximate runtime |
|---|---|---|
| Site office, lights, laptops | 1 kW | About 24 hours |
| Small crew tools and lighting | 3 kW | About 8 hours |
| Concert stage lighting and PA | 5 kW | About 5 hours |
| Refrigeration and cold chain | 0.8 kW | About 30 hours |
| Telecom or CCTV site | 0.3 kW | Several days |
| Level 1 EV charging | 1.4 kW | About 17 hours |
Runtime in hours = usable kWh รท average kW. Peak loads decide the inverter size; average load decides runtime. Send us a list of equipment with ratings and hours and we will do the sum properly.
Runtime comes from average load, but whether equipment runs at all depends on peaks. Motors, compressors and pumps can draw three to six times their running power for a moment at start-up. The inverter must cover the largest start plus everything else already running.
That is why the Base models list 5,500 W peak against 2,400 W continuous, and the Performance model 20,000 W peak against 8,000 W continuous. If a site has one large motor, the Performance model may be needed even if the average load is small.
Send us nameplate figures for anything with a motor and we will check the starts.
Questions answered
About 24 hours at 1 kW, 8 hours at 3 kW, allowing for usable capacity.
Yes, within the inverter's continuous and peak ratings, including motor starts.
Usually, within the peak rating; send the nameplate figures and we will confirm.
