Solar + storage
The solar upgrade kit lets any PulseTrek trailer recharge from photovoltaic panels — which turns a fixed runtime into an open-ended one wherever the daily load fits within the array.
Solar generates when the sun is up. Loads run when the work happens. Storage is what reconciles the two, which is why a photovoltaic array without a battery is only useful while the site is drawing power at the same moment the panels are producing it.
On a mobile deployment the effect is more dramatic. A PulseTrek on its own has a finite runtime set by its pack. The same unit with the solar upgrade kit runs indefinitely on any site where the daily energy use sits within what the array replaces during daylight.
That is what makes genuinely off-grid deployment practical: remote construction compounds, telecom nodes, monitoring stations, and location film units working for days without fuel logistics of any kind.
If we know what the site draws per day, we can tell you what array it takes to keep the battery even.
Questions answered
Yes. The PulseTrek solar upgrade kit allows any trailer model to recharge from photovoltaic panels, which extends runtime indefinitely on off-grid deployments where the daily load is within the array's daily output.
Renewable energy storage means storing electricity generated from renewable sources — usually solar or wind — so it can be used when the load requires it rather than only while it is being generated. Storage is what makes intermittent generation usable.
Work from daily energy use in kWh, not from panel wattage. The battery must cover the load through the hours the array is not producing, and the array must replace that energy during daylight. We size both together from your figures.
For low-to-moderate continuous loads at remote sites, usually yes, because there is no fuel logistics at all. For very high loads or long periods of poor generation, a hybrid arrangement with a generator remains the more robust answer.
