PulseTrek
From fit-out power before the utility connects to megawatt-hour storage on the finished building.
Uses
Fit-out and temporary work usually suits a PulseTrek Trailer. Permanent demand management suits a Leberi container sized from interval data.
Industrial buildings often need two kinds of storage over their life. During construction and fit-out, a towable trailer provides power while the utility connection is completed. Once the building is running, a containerised system cuts demand charges and protects critical processes.
Cold storage is a particularly good fit. Refrigeration is a steady load, so runtime per kWh is predictable, and the cost of an outage is measured in spoiled stock. Our guide to cold storage backup covers sizing.
Manufacturing lines are more varied. Controls, PLCs and IT are easy battery loads; large motors and furnaces are not. We size storage for the loads that actually need protecting and for the peaks worth shaving, from 12 months of interval data.
Questions answered
Yes. Refrigeration is a steady load, so runtime per kWh is predictable and long.
Yes, for lighting, tools and site offices during fit-out.
It can protect controls, IT and critical processes through short outages. Large motor and heat loads are usually shed or supported by generation.
