Beyond the trailer
When the load outgrows a trailer, the same LFP platform and the same Austin engineering scale into containerised storage for utility support, data centres, large compounds and multi-stage events.
Where it goes
Peak shaving, load shifting and resilience support where a permanent installation is not practical. See peak shaving.
Construction power, commissioning load banks and resilience support. See data centre power.
Multi-trailer construction villages, mining camps and remote industrial facilities on one system.
Festival sites where several stages, hospitality and production share a single storage asset.
Paired with solar or an existing genset to form a resilient, grid-independent system. See microgrids.
Behind-the-meter storage that cuts demand charges and rides through short interruptions.
Interval data, a single-line diagram or even a list of what is on site is enough for us to come back with a configuration.
Questions answered
Grid-scale storage refers to battery systems large enough to support the distribution network or a major facility, typically measured in megawatt-hours. PulseTrek containerised systems scale to 8.3 MWh, which covers large commercial and industrial sites as well as utility support applications.
Behind-the-meter storage sits on the customer's side of the utility meter, so it reduces what the site draws from the grid. That is what makes peak shaving and demand charge reduction possible, rather than simply providing backup.
DC-coupled systems are more efficient where solar is charging the battery directly, because the energy is not converted twice. AC-coupled systems are simpler to retrofit alongside existing generation. We specify whichever suits the site rather than defaulting to one.
